Tae kwon do

In room 2 we have been going to Tae Kwon do. We have been practising kicking and punching. This week was our last week and we broke boards using our feet and hands. We had to have the right technique or else we couldn't break the board no matter how strong we hit the board. Here is a piece of writing we did on explain everything. We did the writing then we found a picture of us on google drive and inserted it with our writing. Here is some of our work.

It's My Bread by Diana Noonan

In Room 2 we have been reading lots of books, here is our retelling of It's My Bread by Diana Noonan.

We even made cardboard puppets of the animals in the story.

Maui and the Sun

Last term our inquiry topic was Myths and Legends. We looked at lots of different myths and legends. We really enjoyed learning about Maui and we drew the sun from Maui and the Sun.
We practised first by drawing them in our inquiry books. We practised drawing the half sun and then a full circle to see which one we liked best.

Room 2's Zoo

In Room 2 we made posters of animals we would love to see at the zoo! 

We can write- By room 2

This week in Room 2 we have been reading the big book I can write. The book is about a boy who shows us all the places he can write, so we decided we would make a book of the places that we write in our classroom.

Artwork

How we made this artwork:

1- Put pieces of masking tape on a piece of paper.

2- Paint different colours over our paper, trying not to leave any white spaces.

3- Very carefully pull off the masking tape once the paint has dried.

Fun Friday in Room 2

On Thursday we wrote about Fun Friday. We have been learning to use the words yesterday, Today and tomorrow in our writing this week. Have a look at our writing about Fun Friday and then some pictures about what we do for Fun Friday in our class.

 Lino worked really hard on his story and kept rereading and editing his work until it was perfect! 

Ocean remembered all his writing goals, and found the words by himself. Look at the cool picture he drew about what he wants to do on Fun Friday. 

Cheldyn was learning to write the word is today. He wrote it all by himself!
