WALT point to every word as we read
Today the starfish practised pointing to every word when they read a sentence. Here you can see that they can do it because they have left a finger print.

Sharks guided reading
Today during reading time we were practising reading like we are talking.
First we looked at the different punctuation marks in the book and talked about what we do with our voices when reading.
Then we looked through all the pictures to give us clues about the book.
In this photo you can see the picture of the map, after we read the book once we read it to each other and tried to follow the path on the map.

Starfish guided reading session
Today during guided reading the starfish learnt to read and write the word come.
We can write it on a whiteboard.
We can make it with magnetic letters.
We can find it in our book.
